Asset Discovery & License Management Service

Requires the TriActive License Harvesting Subscription
Reports on new systems, software and network devices, and inactive systems (fixed asset management can be included for an additional fee). Setup includes importing software license counts, lease, and purchase information from approved reseller(s) and/or procurement personnel. Asset management and compliance reports include hardware, software, patch vulnerabilities, warranty, hardware lease, and software licensing including unused software savings and Microsoft Office True-up Savings. Provide a dashboard containing real-time asset management and compliance reports, quarterly printed reports, and twice annual meetings.

  • Asset Discovery - Includes the discovery of Microsoft Windows systems via active directory and/or network neighborhood, and discovery of network devices via network protocol sweep.
  • License Tracking - Monthly and/or quarterly software audit reports.
  • Hardware Lease Tracking
  • Audit Reports - Monthly and/or quarterly asset audit reports.
  • Feedback Meetings - Review meetings to discuss services and progress.
  • Dashboards - Web dashboard displaying real-time management metrics.
  • License Overage Analysis - Application usage analysis and harvesting of unused "Microsoft" product licenses*

Desktop Security Compliance Service

Requires purchase of TriActive PMS and TriActive-Managed Service Asset Discovery & License Management
Desktop Security Compliance ensures that: all systems are running specified anti-virus, anti-spyware and personal firewall software; up to date virus definitions, up to date anti-spyware definitions and proper firewall configuration; report on security risk applications, maintain application blacklist and uninstall applications; and apply critical security patches each month. Provide a dashboard containing real-time security reports, quarterly printed reports, and twice annual meetings.

  • OS patches labeled as 'critical'
  • Identification of machines not running A/V and a follow up for action
  • Identification of machines not running Anti-spyware and follow up for action
  • Machines not running a local firewall or have the OS firewall turned off
  • Notification of machines running Out-of-date virus or scanning definitions
  • Report of workstations running 'local firewalls' not endorsed by IT
  • Report of installed 'black listed' software
  • Report of installed IM clients

Application Management & Delivery Service

Requires purchase of TriActive CMS and TriActive Managed Desktop Security Compliance Service
The TriActive Managed Services team becomes your extended IT partner in the deployment of software and the harvesting of licenses for unused software.

  • Deployment of software packages to the customer standard desktop
  • Testing of deployment on a customer standard desktop image through the use of a virtual machine instance and/or support of pilot group testing
  • Packaging of applications for deployment for 'non-prompting' installations
  • Optional support for 'desktop notifications' which identify the changes being made to the users desktop
  • Harvesting of unused licenses (optional workflow to approve the uninstalling of targeted licenses)
  • Support for a 'Gold Desktop' where deviations from the standard desktop are reported to management
  • White-list of approved corporate applications
  • Optional request and approval process for deployment of applications
  • In addition, TriActive managed services can produce on-demand audit reports for software audits

Availability & Performance Monitoring Service

Requires purchase of TriActive NSM and TriActive Managed Asset Discovery & License Management Service
Monitoring 24x7 for specified network devices and systems for availability and performance including: network interface up/down, response time, CPU, memory, available disk space and system restarts. Provide 24x7 first-line of defense: eliminate false negatives; notify Level I when there is a problem, attempt to restart the application/system, escalate if necessary, and report uptime percentage. Test notifications, application restart, and escalation procedures quarterly. Provide a dashboard containing real-time availability, quarterly printed reports, and twice annual meetings.

  • 24x7 monitoring of corporate assets in the customer environment
